Vitamin B12 and calcium simplify the depression during the menstrual period. But in those days, you can consume foods including niacin which is very important in the production of tryptophan that helps to promote Vitamin B3. Niacin is a water-soluble vitamin which is essential to metabolism and for the normal function of the nervous system. It regulates blood flow in order to avoid mental depression and also it can prevent the postpartum depression. It occurs in milk, liver, yeast, and dairy products.

That’s why you should watch your diet to take measures against depression. Proper diet including those kinds of supplements and vitamins may help to enhance the effectiveness of SSRI and other antidepressants.
